I never seem to tire of photographing this window. Being on the south side of the church, it is often illuminated by the mid-day sun. Image of the Week #106

Around the country our native bluebell woods are giving a spectacular show right now, so I thought this section of Lady Violet’s memorial window would be very appropriate for the season. Image of the Week #85

The camellias are giving a good show in the flower border adjacent to the church and they don’t seem to mind a bit of scaffolding! This border was originally planted up by the gardeners of Powis Castle as it is next to the Powis family tombs. Image of the Week #81

This was a devastating loss to her husband, George Herbert, 4th Earl of Powis. He installed a memorial window for her here in the south east corner…

    Room with a view

Whilst at a friends house yesterday, Karl took this photograph of the church from their dining room window. What a view, with Powis Castle behind. Image of the Week #32

    Exploring Powis Castle

We had an afternoon off from restoration work this weekend, to go and have an explore around neighbouring Powis Castle. It was a lovely family day out. More pics over at Slate Grey, Lime and Hay
