Image of the Week
I thought it would be interesting to take a photograph every week of something in or around the church that catches my eye, without it being connected to something that we’re working on. I hope you like this idea! So here is Image of the Week #1… Victorian Minton encaustic tiles that originally surrounded the Font.

Pinterest
Recently I have been enjoying putting together ‘boards’ of inspirational images and ideas on Pinterest. I have been ripping images out of magazines and filing them for years, and this is an on line version of that. You can see what inspires us for the overall look of the house, with things that we like… and some things that we…

A big day…
It’s been a big day today for our eldest son Owen, who received his GCSE results. He did very well with a good collection of A* and A grades, a couple of B’s and a C in Welsh First Language which is a small miracle as we aren’t a Welsh speaking family! Restoration life doesn’t seem to have hindered his…

The slate stones are some of my favourites. The weathered floral imagery is just so beautiful. The pattern of the text ‘In loving memory of’…

9 Years!
Nine years ago today we became the proud owners of this fabulous Victorian church. It’s been an amazing journey so far. We have learned so much, not only about restoration, building and the building’s heritage but learned a lot about ourselves. This project has become our life and what a fascinating one it is! We’re not tired of it yet,…

A busy weekend…
We had a fantastic turnout to our Open Days this weekend. 105 visitors dodged the showers to have a look round our displays and to view the interior of the nave. We are so touched by everyone’s support and encouragement. To have such positive feedback really helps us to keep going!
