Yesterday we had the great pleasure of welcoming Kinnerley Mothers Union to Christ Church (and had an impromptu organ recital!). It was lovely to share our story and the project with such an interested group of ladies.

Welshpool U3A
Earlier today I had the great pleasure of sharing the story of our family’s restoration journey here at Christ Church to a large audience of 85 members of Welshpool’s U3A. The feedback was wonderful with many comments of admiration and gratitude for our efforts to restore one of Welshpool’s landmark buildings. Many thanks to Welshpool U3A for having me!

Introducing new opening times
March will see the introduction of our new opening times. Part of the nave will be open to visitors every Friday 12-3pm and on the first Sunday of the month 1-4pm (starting Sunday 6th March).

School visit
Yesterday we had the pleasure of welcoming some pupils from Ysgol Maesydre to Christ Church. They were looking at churches for inspiration for an art project. It was fascinating to see their response to the church (and to the idea of us living here!).

We had the pleasure of a visit from Llanymynech Historical Society last night. They came to Christ Church for a talk about it’s history and the work we’re doing and had a look around the interior. It was of particular interest to many as St. Agatha’s Church in Llanymynech is also a Penson Church, designed just after Christ Church, so…
