On this day…
120 years ago today, the birth of Percy Robert Herbert, Viscount Clive of Powis Castle, was greeted by the bells being rung at St Mary’s and much rejoicing in the town. One of our favourite windows here is dedicated to his memory and was featured as Image of the Week #8. Happy Birthday!

The stairs in the base of the Tower, which lead up to the Gallery in the Nave. It has stone steps cantilevered out of the wall, with metal spindles and hand rail. This inspired us in the design of our new staircase.
