the apple tree in december
The winds have stripped the leaves off the apple tree. They lie on the ground scattered amongst the gravestones. The ivy berries are growing. The beginnings of next spring’s leaf buds are there… waiting. Joining in with Loose and Leafy’s ‘Tree Following’ project.

the apple tree – november
Many of the trees in the churchyard have lost their leaves, but the apple tree is still holding on to them. Though they are starting to yellow and brown. The ivy flowers below the tree are beginning to form berries. I love their starry shapes. Joining in with Loose and Leafy’s ‘Tree Following’ project.
