Exploring the churchyard of St. Michaels, Trefeglwys.
We had a family day out walking in the hills of Trefeglwys, which is Karl’s childhood stomping ground and we couldn’t resist exploring the churchyard. The slate headstones were beautiful. I could have spent hours photographing each individual one! The weathered colours, the Victorian designs and the lettering were fascinating and inspiring… I shall let the photographs speak…

the apple tree in october
The apple tree in October is still green and in full leaf. The autumn rain and winds have started though, so how much longer the leaves will remain on the tree I don’t know. Today the jackdaws were tumbling in the wind around the top of the tower. Birds have been feasting on the berries of the yew tree…

Fred had a special presentation from Montgomeryshire Wildlife Trust to show their appreciation for completing his 2 Peak Challenge and raising a massive £278 for their ’30 days to save Dolforwyn’ appeal. They have a nice write up about it here. It has all been such a fantastic experience for him!
