This week we have been putting together a leaflet for the ‘Discovering Gravestones Trail’, which we are launching next Sunday 8th June at our Open Day (10am – 5pm). The trail will hopefully encourage people to explore the churchyard to discover some of the interesting gravestones here and learn a little more of Welshpool’s heritage. The event is part of Cherishing Churchyards Week, which is a special week of events across the country to celebrate churchyards and burial grounds and to raise awareness of the treasures they contain.
