More Repairs
Recent repairs have included high altitude gardening! A tree was growing out of the finial at the front of the church which was severely damaging the stonework. A weekend was spent erecting the scaffolding alone. After the tree and its roots were removed, the finial was re-pointed with lime mortar. Ideally all the finials need this attention. Other repairs have been to the guttering as leaks have caused dry rot outbreaks inside. Due to financial constraints we are in a position that necessitates conducting all of this work ourselves with occasion help from friends.
